2001: A Spacehive Odyssey
We had a slightly quieter last week however there was still some exciting updates…
As the name suggests, we had some huge news as we had reached the target for the Spacehive campaign, which meant the second log cabin could now be ordered (the base should be going down next week). The aim is to have the building finished after Easter. Again, a massive thank you to everyone who donated to, supported or shared our Spacehive Campaign as we could not have done it without you. We are very grateful!
The rest of the week…
On Monday it was another day focussed on Shed jobs with Chris and Boyd putting up the inner walls of the shed before running the power cable from the barn and up into the shed.
Wednesday was our Care Farm Day as normal with feeding the animals and a brew as the first jobs for the day. Next the pressure washer came out in order to make sure all of the yellow buckets were clean and ready to be used for feeding the animals.
As it was half-term, we had no Farm School on Thursday and instead the day was used for getting some more funding applications finished, a very productive alternative.
To finish our quieter week, we had Challenge Askefield on Friday morning. Last week the craft was making pictures with the hot glue guns, canvas (painted black first), paints and pens.
There was some sad new unfortunately from last week, as we lost Annie (our 11 year old ewe).
This week we have back to our normal busy schedule with Puddlers returning for the first time this year (with some quite nice weather as well).
We hope you’ve all had a good week and hope to see you all soon at The Askefield Project!
