Toylander
On 16th January 2024 we started our Toylander project to support young people with their mental health!
Every Tuesday evening for 10 weeks we had a group of 10 young people come and work together as a team to build a Toylander, inspired by HUE 166. Duckworth Land Rover in Boston very kindly painted the Toylander and displayed it in the showroom. During the ninth session of the project, we had a visit from Calendar News! After the Toylander had been finished, Joel produced a Top Gear style Toylander review to really show off the hard work.
At the end of the 10 weeks, the Toylander raffle was opened and ran until October, where it was drawn at our Kerry Hill Pop-up Pub night. The draw was livestreamed through our Facebook page and Youtube channel and the winning ticket was held by a parent of one of the young people who helped to build the Toylander.
We also offered craft sessions in the log cabin for parents and carers who wished to remain on site during the Toylander sessions.
