HEN HOUSE
This was designed and built during a break in the construction of the toilet block, mainly using offcuts from various other projects. It was designed following the Avian Flu outbreak of 2015-16 to ensure our birds still had open air access in the event of repeat. The design also allows clients including those with limited mobility to be actively involved in all aspects of poultry care. It comprises: opening sides for ease of cleaning, a rainwater collection system with automatic drinker, raised nest boxes for easy egg collection and a timed opening and closing hatch.
GOAT HOUSE
Built using reclaimed timber and designed to provide both shelter and easy cleaning for our mini herd. The enclosure contains a climbing area for the goat kids, built by clients of The Askefield Project.
